We’re thrilled to announce that Marny Reakes and Paul Muckleston will be joining our team as venture partners. Working closely with our investment team, Marny & Paul will support our portfolio companies to grow and scale, making a global impact.
Marny & Paul both have a wealth of international experience and a long history of entrepreneurial, technical, operational and investment expertise which will add real value to the deep tech companies in our portfolio.
With over $100m under management, it is timely to have new venture partners join our team. Many of our portfolio companies are undergoing transformative change, seeking to access global markets and they will benefit from being able to tap into deep levels of expertise and international perspectives.
Most recently, Paul was the Chief Operating Officer for Microsoft’s worldwide Public Sector business. Paul’s experience in commercialisation strategies, market development, scaling startups globally, and governance, along with his keen insights and unparalleled industry knowledge will undoubtedly strengthen our ability to identify and nurture high-potential deep tech ventures to achieve success.
Complementing Paul, Marny Reakes brings 30 years of operational and business experience in heavy industry and the extraction of critical minerals. After several decades of working internationally, Marny is returning to New Zealand to help cultivate and scale deep tech engineering and science-based innovations that have the potential to solve some of our most complex environmental challenges, aligning with our focus on investing in our future.
The appointment of Paul and Marny reflects our commitment to investing in deep tech companies and partnering with them through their commercialisation journey to achieve global success.
